David Rokos
Video Producer, Leader, and Storyteller
I am a results-driven, detail-oriented video producer and manager with over 15 years of experience in producing and directing global video content, leading creative teams, and teaching at the collegiate level. My career spans from producing feature films with international distribution to spearheading video departments for prestigious organizations like the U.S. Department of Energy’s Argonne National Laboratory.

As Senior Lead Video Editor at Argonne, I’ve produced high-impact content with both national and international reach. My leadership and creative vision have propelled Argonne’s team to the forefront of the Department of Energy’s network, attracting major clients such as FEMA and the Nuclear Suppliers Group. This role has afforded me the unique honor of presenting to world leaders, representing both Argonne and the United States on a global stage. I also earned my FAA Part 107 drone certification and lead the lab’s creative drone program, overseeing aerial cinematography and seamlessly integrating cutting-edge drone footage into projects.

Before Argonne, I built the video and graphics department from the ground up at Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS®, a 20,000-member trade association. Starting as a one-person operation managing everything from pre-production to final delivery, I grew the department into a multi-employee team producing over 100 videos and livestreams annually, directly supporting Mainstreet’s members.

Earlier in my career, I led the video department at OpticsPlanet.com, generating over 4 million views in a single year, which translated into $10 million in sales. I also produced several short films and the feature film The Girls on Liberty Street, which premiered at the Chicago International Film Festival, toured nationally, and secured international distribution through IndieFlix.

In addition to my professional roles, I developed and manage a successful YouTube channel featuring over 70 educational science videos, nearing 100,000 total views. I write, storyboard, produce, film, and edit weekly content tailored for elementary school students and educators, ensuring consistent, high-quality educational value. To amplify the channel's reach, I launched dedicated websites and social media accounts, crafting platform-specific strategies that drive engagement and meet targeted success metrics. I also designed comprehensive brand standards, graphics, and style guides for videos, social media, and promotional materials, ensuring a cohesive and professional visual identity across all platforms.

With a proven ability to lead dynamic teams of motion designers, cinematographers, and photographers, I excel at delivering high-quality projects from concept to completion. My passion for storytelling, combined with my technical expertise and leadership skills, ensures that every project I undertake makes a lasting impact.
